Are You a Rapture Ready News Dealer?
Rapture Ready News is an online think tank and is run by a member of the BioShock team, namely Dr. ADAM himself. In this online think tank forum, they have posted some topics on Rapture Ready and one in which Dr. ADAM makes a statement on how God is getting in the way of things in Rapture. It seems as if he is trying to warn people that God might bring a flood and cause another Rapture and the people there to die. I have some questions about this statement, as I really feel that God is a part of all that we create with our minds, and that He doesn't want us to ruin His work. Firstly, what is meant by Rapture Ready News? This is a website created by a blogger named Jay Weisler. He claims to be a religious Christian who has some links with the "anti-religion" movement. On this website, he makes statements like, "God is not involved in the Rapture scenario." And, "God hasn't brought about the Rapture scenario." Does God have something to do with the Rapture scenario? Well, actually, the blogger has some issues with Rapture being in heaven, as well as the "end times." For instance, he says, "Rapture is not a place of peace. The Rapture architecture does not symbolize God's love for humanity. God is not involved in the coming of the Rapture structure." Now then, what is meant by the Rapture scenario? When Jesus returns to earth to rapture the world and start His earthly reign, He will not be in heaven. Instead, He will be in "the new Heaven and the new earth." Some have said that Rapture is the final place of the human soul, but this is a very big error. The reason that the Rapture event has so much appeal to the weak Christians is that they can associate themselves with the concept of the "last days," when God supposedly will come back to redeem mankind. Therefore, Rapture is the date when Jesus comes back to earth to rapture the false prophets and to send His son Jesus to His divine kingdom. However, the Rapture scenario is not one that the Christian religion is particularly interested in teaching. It's only one more opportunity to raise up its young and to encourage "us" to embrace our sinful ways. As John calls Him, "God is greater than that which we can conceive of," so it should not be surprising if we find that "we" are encouraged to imitate our heavenly Father. This means that the Rapture Ready News crowd wants us to go to heaven, while the Rapture Truth crowd wants us to come back to earth as a new creation. It's interesting to note that the" Rapture Ready News" crowd is very similar to the" Rapture Ready" crowd, except that they're trying to sell their version of what will happen at the rapture to the Christians living among the Gentiles. Personally, I'm not interested in the" Rapture Ready News," or the New Earth Message, because I don't think the rapture is going to happen anytime soon. If it does, then what is there for me to learn? I am agnostics. And an agnostic is someone who doesn't believe in any religion at all. |
